Ian Martindale
I am a second-year PhD student in the Joint Doctoral Program in Language and Communicative Disorders at SDSU and UCSD. Previously, I received an MA in Psychology from SDSU with an emphasis in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience. Currently, I study how humans process and understand language, with a particular interest in meaning representation across different modalities, such as speech processing. My goal is to use neural measures, like those captured through electroencephalography (EEG), to explore language processes in both typical and clinical populations.
